Refusal to pay our claim, sent us around in circles for weeks, told us to take it to ford specialists for assessment which we duly did, who were able to find that the engine was gone by way of compression testing, they then said that we needed to pay to have the vehicle stripped so they could send their engineer in to find the fault, but the dismantling costs would have used up all the claim limit. Scam avoid avoid avoid, dont buy a car from anywhere that sells these warranties either

Pointless Purchase

Having read many reviews and also falling foul of this con my question is regarding Big World Motorings culpability? Many like myself were sold this policy by them as the saviour to motoring mechanical woes and given the number of complaints one would have hoped they would stop promoting their service? I bought my policy over 3yrs ago but see this is a pattern that predates my purchase and continues still. I will be contacting them next and the regulatory authorities...I wonder what their cut is? Anyone with any info it would be greatly appreciated, possibly some joint action?

DONT FALL FOR IT! 0 stars if I could.

Same experience as everyone else and personally feel stupid for falling for their scam:

- Sold the 3 year extended warranty (£1600) by sales and told it covers "everything under the hood", is "hassle free" and not told there is an excess (£75) or that breakdown cover only lasts 12 months or that only cover labour up to £75/hr

- They don't give you the policy wording at time of purchases. It was emailed to me after I disputed them not paying a claim. It is riddled with exclusions.

- Claiming is a pain - the app is utterly useless, it just directs you to a local garage to call. You have to call BigAssist and they tell you to email Waranties 2000 the quote from garage to get the claim processed.

Claim processing takes forever and you have to chase them to get an answer.

After 2 months of having my car from Big Motoring World the engine light came on an cat converter needs replacing. Warranty doesn't cover any diagnostic fees (approx. £200 total). The cost to fix is £1000 and big assist have authorised only £300 - £150 for labour and a messily £150 for an aftermarket cat converter.

The ford dealer mechanic said this was outrageous and even if you did go for aftermarket (they dont advise to) youd never find one at that price point.

This warranty is a con.

If I had my time again, I would decline the warranty, bank my hard earned cash in a saving account, and keep it for when you need the repairs. If you buy the warranty you will easily be out of pocket and never recoup the money.

This warranty was sold to us by Big Assist at Big Motoring World Group at point of car purchase. They claim any failure is due to wear and tear. During our first attempted claim, the agent suggested I would not be capable of knowing what was wear and tear (as a female driver). This bigoted attitude is apalling and descriminatory. I am now taking them to the small claims court. I'll update here once the case has been heard.

My Mercedes c220 was leaking water from cooling system,I was told to take it to a garage yesterday 19/01/22 for a check.They found that it was leaking from the thermostat,while I was there the manager rang the crooks at warranty 2000,and they rejected the claim as they said it wasnt the thermostat yes they are right in a way but on this car it is all built into a unit. You dont undo 2bolts like on older cars and replace it within 10 minutes, they should never have a license to trade. They should be locked up and the key thrown away.Total *** of the Earth.

Bought a car from a dealer which gave me warranties 2000 cover. After a few months the drivers side electric window stopped working. Was told by a local garage, that it was the window regulator. This warranty company refused to pay even though I had their top of the range cover. I had the same issue with another car about 8 years ago and with another company and they paid without any issues.

I was given the top of the range warranty, but a simple window regulator failure is not covered ! On phoning the company , they were simply not interested , even when I explained that it is not specified in their literature.

The only reason there's a 1 star on this review is because you can't go lower!!! We are not mechanic's, and they certainly know that. I bought a second hand BMW f11 3 months ago. I got their silver package with 6 months cover, and I was told by the dealership that if I have any issues not to worry it's covered. HHH how wrong they were. My flywheel and clutch has collapsed and being quoted £2000 I looked at what was covered and to my relief it says flywheel and clutch I contacted Warranties2000 today, and I was told just to get the garage to call them. Only to then have the garage call me back saying they will not cover the repairs, I called them again to be told a dual mass flywheel isn't a flywheel, how do most common people know that? So it's not covered and the clutch isn't covered because it was a consequence of the flywheel, sorry dual mass flywheel totally different thing I forgot. Please do your homework and make sure you have the right cover and DO NOT USE THESE GUY. You'll get no help there.

I am having issues with Warranty 2000 (aka Olympic Warranties), an issue with my vehicle which they previously paid for to be repaid (less than 18 months ago), is now subject to not being covered as its now a wear and tear issue (even though when they first replaced it the part was more than twice as old as it is now. After lots of going back and forward they offered to refund the cost of the premium (minus the charge for the engineer call out charge) - however since then i have not heard anything from them.

Warranties 2000 - Complaint

I added 3 years warranty 2000 from big motoring worlds when I bought my BMW in 2016, car still had manufacturer warranty until 2017, after that until 2020 covered by the warranty 2000, in 10/2019 by calling to the warranty company for repairing the car abut some problems in the mechanical, they accepted after 3 times repair to the Kentish Twon BMW, because of problems was still on the car, they Introduced me to the Garage in Edgware Road,take it my car there, after one day, they couldn't find the problem, but they charge me about the working on the car for £94.80.when I claimed for all the payments, 3 times paid to the Kentish Town BMW, and one payment was for the Edgware Road garage that they sent me, they never accept anyone and reject all of them, because of you didn't says anything warranty company, we can't accept that, this is really lie because I confirm before go to the repairing Center . and they didn't accept Edgwaer garage because didn't find the problem we can't pay you as well, they said.

Made a claim for the burst radiator told by these SCAMMERS wear and tear not a penny given towards the cost....... Phone call to these people to be told ON YOUR BIKE MATE.... They offered to find a garage that would do the work for £40 an hour to drive the bill down my Bentley flying spur is not a car to be put in the hands of a cheap garage. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPANY FOR A SECOND.... like drugs JUST SAY NOOOOO!!!!!!!

ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS - AVOID THEM!!!!!! My father paid £425 to these thieves for their Premier Plus Programme. Nice Booklets received on signing, but full of CRAP! They are Quick to take your money but the minute you have a Claim this is what they say to get themselves OUT of settling, and I quote - ''Failure or breakage, the proximate cause of which is wear and tear, or parts which may be considered to have come to the end of their normal life expectancy, are specifically excluded from coverage by this warranty. Bought a Range Rover Vogue and after a few weeks the alternator went. They agreed the claim, asked me to submit paperwork then said it would take 7 days to pay out. I submitted paperwork by recorded delivery then waited two weeks then started to query where my payment was. No explanation just kept saying admin error, with Manager etc - I couldnt get any info out of them. Promised a call back time after time and not once did they call me back. I ended up ringing them twice a day for two weeks until I basically harassed the payment out of them and threatened them with Trading Standards. Disgusting service. Would never use again and it would put me off buying a car from a garage that used them. Was relief when warranty ran out as knew I would never have to deal with them again. They have just rang and asked if I would like to renew my warranty with them now expired haha. I would rather boil my head in a vat of hot oil. Awful company. Sympathies to anyone who has to deal with them.

Save your money for the repair because they will not cover any major claims. I needed a rebuild on engine for $15000,they refused to cover any of the cost stating that it was not covered under the warranty. The International dealer told me that had tricky wording in the contract to get out of the claim. I followed all there guidelines which there are many. They will never cover any claim that’s a higher cost than what the warranty cost. Save your money for the future repair because they are not a trustworthy company..

My husbands car is currently at the garage clutch and fly wheel gone on it and the warranties 2000 refusing to pay out saying its wear and tear not a mechanical fault we paid for a premium plan doesnt seem like they ever pay out asked for a refund on the policy they refused they do not care about the customers do not use their service as they never seem to pay out for anyone but happy to accept everyones money. Shouldnt even be one star if watchdog was still around they should be investigated.

Ditto same story . Flywheel was the problem ( not covered) caused the clutch to fail .

These warranties are a complete waste of money . They told me the garage told them it was wear and tear a complete lie .

The problem with most of these warranty companies is that THEY determine what is covered and what is not. "Usual wear and tear" is a common excuse.

It is never, ever a good idea to buy a car warranty from anyone other than the car dealership which is issued by the auto manufacturer. People buy these things from companies they have never heard of thinking everything will be covered.

Nay, 'tis not the case. Now you know.
